Radiation Oncology

Our radiation oncologists are part of the UC Health Department of Radiation Oncology.They are board-certified physicians with specialized training in treating tumors and other lesions with various forms of radiation. They work with medical physicists to develop an individualized treatment plan for patients.


Neurosurgeons of the Mayfield Clinic provide initial evaluation, treatment planning and follow-up for all patients treated for brain tumors, spine tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, and arteriovenous malformations. They are board-certified physicians with UC Department of Neurosurgery.


Otolaryngologists from UC Health Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery specialize in the treatment of patients with disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck.


Radiologists from the UC Health Department of Radiology work with the team to precisely identify the target area for radiation treatment.

Medical Physics

Medical physicists are board-certified, health professionals with advanced training in radiation physics. They are responsible for maintaining and calibrating the equipment used to deliver radiation. They work with radiation oncologists to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.


Medical dosimetrists are board-certified, health professionals with advanced training in dosimetry planning. They work with radiation oncologists and medical radiation physicists to create optimal treatment plans, according to the physician's prescription and individualized for each patient.

Radiation Therapy

Our radiation therapists are state-licensed, highly trained health professionals who deliver radiation treatment according to specific protocols. They are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
