Since Precision Radiotherapy opened in 2003, we’ve treated more than 2,500 patients - people who count on us for the best treatment possible. A partnership of the Mayfield Clinic and UC Health’s Department of Radiation Oncology, we provide skilled and compassionate care to 80 patients each day.
Precision Radiotherapy is the region's first center to offer high-precision radiotherapy and radiosurgery for tumors and other abnormalities both inside and outside the brain. We can target benign and malignant tumors of the brain, head and neck, as well as tumors of the spine, lung, breast, prostate, liver, kidney, pancreas, colon/rectum, reproductive tract and skin. Patients also come to us for treatment of vascular malformations and trigeminal neuralgia. We treat adult and adolescent patients, as well as pediatric patients, ages 2 to 10.
We have more than 27 years of experience in the safe delivery of complex radiation treatments. Our safety protocols call for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checks of the accuracy of our equipment.
Our efforts are also reflected in patient satisfaction surveys, with 97% of patients providing high marks for overall satisfaction, quality of care, confidence in our team, and the likelihood that they will recommend Precision Radiotherapy to others.
Our team pioneered frameless radiosurgery with the Novalis® system, and we have published 15 academic articles in national, peer-reviewed journals.
In addition to providing state-of-the-art clinical care, Precision Radiotherapy has contributed $1.5 million to the UC Brain Tumor Center over the past five years for research and education.
